Stephen Ellis-Menton
About me
I have been interpreting for the past 18 years, working in a broad variety of domains. I started formally learning BSL at the age of 15 but came into interpreting after first training as a teacher, completing the BA Ed (QTS) at Liverpool Hope University. I completed my interpreter training while whilst training and working as a teacher; and qualified as RSLI when I was 23. I previously worked at a large deaf organisation as part of their in-house interpreting team where I gained valuable experience and have now been freelance since 2006 working in a wide range of settings and organisations.
