Motivated and dedicated professional working within the field of deafness, with 20 years’ experience across social care, mental health, and educational sectors. Described as reliable and able to provide a bespoke interpreting service to a wide range of d/Deaf people with varying degrees of deafness, communication methods and needs. Interpreting both face to face and remotely in areas such as Mental Health, Medical, Social Care, Training, Employment, Higher Education, and office work, demonstrating a diverse skill set. Sound skills in the use of technology, with the ability to navigate remote platforms with ease and solve any technical issues promptly. Previous employments include Family Support Work for Children's Social Care, Mental Health Housing Support Worker, Support Worker for Deaf people with additional needs and Communication Support Worker for Further Education colleges. Home life can be busy in-between having two young daughters, a border collie (and a husband!) but what time is left is spent keeping fit and catching up with friends and family.
