Bye Bye 2025 👋

As 2025 has now finished, it is a good moment to pause, reflect, and acknowledge just how much has happened at Signalise this year. It’s been busy (when isn’t it?) Here’s a look back at what we’ve been up to.
Funding, Finance, and Support
This year, a major focus has been making good use of the social investment we received from Kindred and the Key Fund. That funding has been directed where it matters most: strengthening our foundations and working on our tech systems. We’ve been working hard on improving our back-end systems, including implementing a new CRM and linking it with our booking platform. Alongside this, we’ve been developing changes to our video service to improve reliability, accessibility, and user experience. We also started a new support programme via the School of Social Entrepreneurs - an NHS London Accelerator.
Our Tech
Technology has been a big theme for us in 2025. We’ve been working closely with our developers on the migration work needed to modernise our back-end systems.
This work was essential to ensure we could get on national frameworks, keep pace with competitors, and create space for future innovation. It’s critical work - and it puts us in a much stronger position for what’s next.
Customers, Contracts and National Frameworks
In 2025, we gained places on new national frameworks through Health Trust Europe and NHS SBS. This is a significant step for Signalise and means we are well placed to increase the number of health contracts we support and reflects our readiness to operate at a national scale.
Importantly, it gives us the opportunity to work more closely with our community of members; the suppliers and users; to innovate together — improving services, strengthening accessibility, and ensuring we continue to add real social value and impact for our customers.
Social Media
This year, we launched our new TikTok channel. Watch this space in 2026 for new and exciting content.
We also released our Co-op Information series, which we’re sharing across our social media channels. Both the landscape and portrait playlists are available on our YouTube channel. If you want to learn more about Signalise, co-operation, and the impact of our work with the Deaf community and our customers, they’re well worth a watch.
Our Impact and Recognition
We continued to achieve near 100% fulfillment using our community connections. In a market which is increasingly overrun with privately run, profit driven and often globally-owned businesses, our vision and mission is hugely important. (See our Organisation Handbook > Rules > Purpose and Mission)
We were nominated in two categories for the Social Enterprise UK awards in November, Social Enterprise Building Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Justice Award and Tech For Good: Technology Social Enterprise of the Year.
We achieved runners up for the Building Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Justice Award and were highly commended. A huge achievement after only 5 years in operation!
We were also named as good practice in the excellent BSL Advisory Board’s Locked Out report on the Exclusion of deaf and deafblind BSL users from health and social care in the UK (section 5.5 on commissioning).
A huge thank you to all co-op members and everyone who’s supported, challenged, worked with, or cheered us on this year. Onwards to 2026 — with better systems, stronger partnerships, and the same commitment to achieving real access for Deaf users, a sustainable profession for workers and better service provision for our customers using our people-powered community!
